I love a good Margarita, don’t you? I’m talking about the kind that is smooth, not too sweet, and not so bitter it makes your face pucker. But, as your probably know, it’s packed with calories and sugar (aka carbs), and typically results in bloating.
But, have you ever thought about making it a tad bit healthier? Alcohol is still alcohol no matter how you slice it, but you can cut back on the calories by using aloe as a substitute for the sugary margarita mix. And, by adding aloe, it helps decrease bloating/inflammation.
Other benefits for using aloe specifically related to your margarita can include reducing symptoms of acid reflux, boosting metabolism, lowering cholesterol, and helping your body detox. This is because aloe helps with digestion.
So, are you ready to give it a try? Here is a recipe our team came up with, and it’s pretty darn tasty!
- 2.5 oz AV Pure & Natural Aloe Gel Drink
- 2 oz Agave Tequila
- 1.5 oz Lime Juice
- 1 T. Honey Syrup
- Salt for Rimming
Rim glasses with salt
Add first four ingredients into a shaker with ice
Shake for at least twenty seconds
Strain and pour into salt-rimmed glass
