Pineapple Aloe Cocktail

Given aloe’s ability to enhance nutrient absorption, this amazing cocktail is packed with delicious fruit and antioxidants. The pineapple juice helps tame aloe’s naturally sour flavor and cranberry juice’s tartness. So, if you’re ready to create a delicious, aloe-based cocktail for your next get-together, read on to learn how to do it.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup aloe vera juice
  • 2 Tbs. unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1 Tbs. agave nectar or honey, optional
  • 1.25 oz pineapple rum (or regular rum so it’s not as sweet)
  • Mint leaves
  • Shaker cup or stirring spoon
  • Ice

Combine all of the ingredients except the mint leaves in a glass or shaker cup to make one drink. Or, take the recipe times four, and pour the ingredients in a pitcher for multiple servings. Shake or stir until blended. Pour over ice, top with a couple of small mint leaves, and add a lime to the side of the glass. You could also add this to a blender with ice to make a smoothie-style drink. You may also exclude the alcohol to make an non-alcoholic drink.

If you’re taking this as a “dish to share” to an event, spice it up with some additional fresh fruit options on the side to take the flavor to a new level. You could also use vodka or tequila in place of rum. Experiment and have fun with this delicious aloe cocktail!
